Hot August Night would go on to become one of the highest selling albums of all time\, spending 29 weeks at number 1 in Australia.  \n\n\n\nMy brothers and I weren’t allowed to use the record player\, but this didn’t stop me sneaking in when he was out. I’d play this record over and over fantasizing about being Neil Diamond and trying to mimic his voice.
